The room of the Estates-General, meeting point for the start of group visits, also serves as the location of the exhibition of the architectural model produced by Tactile Studio.
Client: Château de Versailles
Partner: Atelier WAM
The 1.8m–long installation marries the architecture of the Palace itself and its location in the park.
The huge model offers an appreciation of the size of the building and its position at the heart of the gardens and the elements that constitute the façade, with a set of images in backlit relief.
The model details certain typical architectural elements at different phases of construction, such as the bas-relief of the Louis XIII brick façades or a neoclassical version of the same elements built in the reign of Louis XIV.
